UK Cystic Fibrosis Microbiology Consortium

I co-organise this annual national meeting that combines both clinicians and scientists with an interest in CF microbiology. The consortium was originally formed as part of funding from the CF Trust and over the years has grown to include research groups throughout the UK. The meeting is now in its 4th year and continues to expand with approximately 90 researchers present and the last meeting in November 2013. This would not be possible without support from the CF Trust, Forest laboratories and the University of Liverpool. If you would like to attend, please contact me.

Women In Science

The issues around women and careers in science have increased in importance in the UK over the past few years. I am a member of the Athena SWAN self-assessment team at the Institute of Infection and Global Health. We are implementing a number of measures with the aim of increasing equality for all.
